WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR APPROACH?
This approach to inner work is designed to place our nervous system's innate intelligence up front. We do not heal or learn when our nervous system is overwhelmed, or shutdown. One of the principles of this work is that we slow down and establish presence, ground our heart and pause. This allows for powerful work that is balanced, and able to be integrated.
The perspective on "resistance" or "pesky ego," is re-framed as old strategies designed to keep us safe. Not just something to push through or blindly eradicate. Our thoughts, mind, defenses, restlessness, agitation, impatience, and aggression are understood to be there for a reason. They are not obstacles, they are the path. We work with places of "stuck-ness," never bypassing the integrity of these protective parts whose strategies that were at one point crucial. It is discovered that there is always a gift or something to be reclaimed buried in whatever we have been trying to avoid or banish.

Who am I? What brings me joy? How do I find connection with others that is mutually satisfying?
These may be questions often asked, and usually difficult to answer with full and authentic honesty. Instead, we opt to conform: to do what we think is right and be the kind of person we believe will be most accepted by our community.
Carl Jung wrote extensively about the process of individuation, which, in short, is the layered process of finding your true, authentic self. In a nutshell, individuation is when you recognize and acknowledge your persona (the personality that you present to the world) and integrate it with the contents of your unconscious mind, including your shadow (the disowned and hidden part of you that exists in the background of your everyday life). By connecting to your inner voice — your authentic self — you become conscious and aware of your true vocation. This is the journey toward the person you are meant to be... this is your journey to wholeness.
But how do we get there?
We have spent decades layering on the defenses that keep us stuck in our persona masks as we push away from the unconscious. However, at some point the unconscious will bleed through, and cross the boundary into consciousness. This is usually the point when we notice that we are trying to find ways to “numb out” or we have outburst or find certain levels of anxiety or depression waving in and out of our weeks. This is a True calling from your deepest, purest Self to Wake Up and Discover the Joy and Enthusiasm for your Unique Path and service to your community.
